Peshawar: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s former provincial minister for relief Iqbal Wazir and former member of National Assembly Malik Jawad Hussain has announced to quit PTI due to the May 9 incidents.
Former provincial minister Iqbal Wazir, while holding a press conference with his colleagues at Peshawar Press Club, said that he was always loyal to the party but regretted the heartbreaking events of May 9.
He said that after these incidents, it is impossible for me to travel further with PTI as the matter has gone too far, therefore I announce my resignation from the primary membership of the party and the district presidency. He said that he along with his colleagues used to protect Chairman Imran Khan first in Bani Gala and then in Zaman Park, but now he regrets it.
Apart from this, the former member of the National Assembly, Malik Jawad Hussain, who was elected from Orakzai, also announced his resignation from PTI and said that the events of May 9 are shameful. Now I announce to leave PTI without any pressure.
He said that this is our Pakistan, these institutions are our institutions, when the institutions are strong, Pakistan will be strong. Malik Jawad said that he will announce the future political action plan later.
