Lahore: The High Court invalidated the notification of acceptance of the resignations of 72 members of the National Assembly of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf.
Justice Shahid Karim of Lahore High Court heard the petitions of 72 members of PTI, including Riyaz Fatiana, against the acceptance of the resignations of the National Assembly. The notification was declared null and void.
In the verdict, the court directed the Tehreek-e-Insaf members to appear before the Speaker to withdraw their resignations. Apart from this, the court has also directed the Speaker of the National Assembly to take a decision after hearing the position of all the members again.
