The latest facial recognition system has also been activated at Multan International Airport.
According to Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority officials, after Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, Multan is the fourth airport where the latest face recognition camera system has been activated.
The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has supported the installation of this system at Pakistan’s airport.
On behalf of Japan International Cooperation System, training was provided to the relevant staff of Federal Investigation Agency FIA and Civil Aviation Authority at Multan Airport.
According to CAA spokesperson, this system will be very helpful for border management agencies.
Border management agencies will be able to prevent illegal international movement with the help of this system.
According to the spokesman, cooperation between PCAA and the Japanese government will continue for the continuous improvement of the security system at the country’s airports.
