The Delhi High Court has sought details of the accounts that leaked videos of Shahrukh Khan’s film ‘Jawan’ from Twitter.
According to an Indian media report, the court has asked Twitter to provide some basic information including email, IP address and phone number of some of its users who are allegedly involved in the videos of Shahrukh Khan’s upcoming film ‘Jawan’. Clips are being shared on social media.
The plaintiff’s counsel has claimed that the five Twitter accounts that leaked videos of the film on social media had access to the company’s ‘system’ and that the company had also tried to reveal the details of the users of these accounts.
On this plea of the counsel, Justice C. Harishankar ordered that the court directs the defendant no. 2 (Twitter) to furnish the account information to the plaintiff’s counsel with prior service so that the plaintiff can take appropriate action.
It should be remembered that earlier, after a case was filed by the film’s production company, Red Chillies Entertainment Private Limited, the court had directed YouTube, Twitter and Reddit to immediately remove all the leaked videos of the film ‘Jawan’ from social media. should be deleted.
