Bad news for the fans of the uncrowned king of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, who are eagerly waiting for the third sequel of the action-packed series ‘Don’ i.e. Don 3, that King Khan will no longer be a part of Don 3.
According to Indian media reports, producer Ritesh Sidhwani has confirmed the completion of the script for Don 3, along with media reports that King Shah Rukh Khan has decided to bid farewell to the Don franchise.
According to reports circulating, he will no longer be seen as ‘Don’ in the third sequel of director-actor Farhan Akhtar’s Don franchise.
However, Indian media claims that instead of Shahrukh Khan in Don 3, a new actor is being cast for the role of ‘Don’ in the film.
The report says that Shah Rukh Khan now wants to work in commercial films and feels that Dawn does not fit in today’s cinema.
However, no clear statement has come out from Shahrukh Khan or the producers and director of Don till now.
It may be noted that the film ‘Don’ was directed by actor and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar and it turned out to be a blockbuster at the box office.
Released in 2006, the film was a remake of the 1978 film Don, starring Priyanka Chopra, Arjun Rampal, Esha Kapoor, Boman Iran, Pawan Malhotra, Rajesh Khattar and Om Puri.
After the grand success of ‘Don’, Farhan Akhtar and Ritishan Sidhwani teamed up to make ‘Don 2’ which was a success at the box office.
After the blockbuster ‘Pathan’, Shahrukh Khan will be seen in his next film ‘Jawan’ which will be released on September 7 this year.
