Karachi;  Photos of the accused involved in the arson attack on the arrest of Imran Khan are released

The accused were identified with the help of CCTV footage, police said

Karachi: After the arrest of Chairman PTI, Karachi Police released the photos of the accused involved in riots and violent acts in the city.

After being identified with the help of CCTV footages and other videos obtained, the police have started searching for the persons involved in the riot. According to the officials of Police Investigation East, assistance will be taken from the local authorities to identify the suspects involved in the arson and siege on May 9 in Karachi, while the police have also sought help from ordinary citizens to identify the suspects involved in the arson.

According to the police officials, the names of the informants of the accused involved in the arson attack will be kept confidential. Raids are being conducted on intelligence and technical grounds to arrest the accused involved in arson and encirclement in the city.

On May 9, against the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan, government and private properties were targeted on the city’s main and busiest highway Faisal and other main roads. Meanwhile, the accused set fire to 2 People’s Parade buses, police van, water bowser, Rangers Chowk, traffic police cabins and many other vehicles and motorcycles.

The accused also set fire to a police mobile within the limits of the alleged town police station during the violent protests. In other violent acts during the arson attack, the accused also tortured several police officials.

Cases have been registered against the accused in Tipu Sultan, Firozabad and Mabina Town police stations under the provisions of terrorism and other serious crimes. According to the police, if any citizen has any information regarding the accused, he should immediately contact Helper 15 or the relevant police station and prove that he is a responsible citizen.
