Karachi: Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has said that after the arrest of Imran Khan, the miscreants who spread mischief in Karachi have been arrested while the rest will also be detained.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that after the arrest of Imran Khan, some miscreants surrounded the fire, no one is allowed to protest violently, Shaara Faisal was showing scenes of war at night, many miscreants are in custody. while other involved persons will also be arrested.

He expressed these views on Monday at the inauguration ceremony of Sindh Institute of Advanced Endoscopy and Gastroenterology at Dow University attached to Civil Hospital.

On this occasion, Sindh Minister Ali Murad Ali Shah along with Sindh Health Minister Dr. Ghazra Fazal Pechuho, Sindh Chief Secretary Sohail Rajput, Sindh Health Secretary Qasim Siraj Soomro, Vice Chancellor Dow University of Health Sciences Professor Saeed Qureshi and Sindh Institute of Advanced Endoscopy and Executive Director of Gastroenterology Professor Saad Khalid Niaz and others participated.

Prof. Saad Khalid Niaz, Executive Director of Sindh Institute of Advanced Endoscopy and Gastroenterology said in his speech that when I was in England, my father said that the soil of Pakistan is very fertile, today my father is not with me but he taught me. How to create a service, my father said that no patient should return from your hospital without treatment for fear of expenses, then I started free treatment of Jinnah and Civil patients in Patel Hospital, we treated many expensive patients. Modern medical facilities have been introduced in Pakistan.

He said that in 2000, endoscopy facility was not available in government hospitals. In 2006, endoscopy department was created in civil hospital. 17 years have passed since I did this voluntary work in civil hospital. When Shah was requested, he assured cooperation.

They gave us two wards for this, it is an ancient building of 1890, which was very dilapidated, we had two challenges, the first challenge was to restore this building and the second challenge was to provide international level medical facilities here. Government of Sindh cooperated with us, this institution is an independent institute, its act has been passed by Sindh Assembly, we intend to provide this facility to ten to twelve thousand patients in a year, along with this we They wanted to create the same environment from the private sector instead of the welfare institution, because I think that if someone is treating us, it is not our favor but their favor that they are treating us.

He said, “I claim that there is no government or private hospital in Pakistan that compares to it. In Pakistan, there are a lot of cases of kidney stones, which are treated by radiation,” he said. The machine was in India and now we have imported another machine in this region, apart from this we will also provide the best training. There will also be so that the population of Sindh does not have to come to Karachi for modern medical facilities.

He further said that endoscopy is very expensive in the private sector, we were providing the same services free of cost in the civil hospital. Even the smallest thing related to endoscopy is available in the institute, this institute has been built with the collaboration of Sindh government, when we can improve 2 wards, why can’t we improve the civil hospital, Sindh government is responsible for the renovation of civil hospital. I contacted the Sindh Chief Minister in 2019 and told him that I talked about the establishment of the institute. The Chief Minister said to establish it in the civil hospital and I will start the funding. Gentlemen also gave Rs 200 million, we started work in the civil hospital and for this more financial support was required.

“I submitted to the Chief Minister that we need Rs 400 million, so he said no problem, thus this institute came into being which the Chief Minister is inaugurating today”.

Sindh Health Minister Dr. Ezra Fazal Pechuho said that I admit that civil hospital needs improvement, there is lack of space in this hospital, we are trying to expand the OPD and emergency department, we need Faisal Edhi. Funds have been received for the OPD tower which will be completed by 2025. I have completed my graduation from civil hospital and Dow college.

The provincial health minister said that international standard endoscopy facilities will be provided free of cost in the civil hospital, the establishment of gastroenterology will provide many facilities to the patients.

Vice-Chancellor Dow University Professor Saeed Qureshi said that the government needs more attention to the civil hospital, structural reforms are needed, modern methods and treatment must be adopted, we also have to save our dilapidated buildings.

Speaking at the ceremony, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that the role of Dr. Saad Khalid Niaz is key in the establishment of this sector, I wish that the latest international level medical facilities are provided in our country. , we have increased the health sector budget in the last few years.

He said that Sindh Health Minister Dr. Ezra Fazal Pechuho has been rendering excellent services for the last 5 years, she performed her duties well during the Corona epidemic and flood situation across the province. They are not available even in the big private hospital of Karachi, I want people from you to come to me, we will support you in the projects, we need people who are dedicated to the spirit of patriotism, but now the best facilities are in Karachi, Pakistan. are present.

The Chief Minister said that Jinnah is providing cost-free treatment in Cyber ​​Knife, National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) and Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) are doing excellent work. In the world’s best public-private partnership, the work is currently being done in Sindh province, Sindh government and philanthropists also contributed to the construction of this institute, access to the best treatment is the basic right of every citizen.

Murad Ali Shah said that the biggest challenge in the health sector is to provide effective and equitable access to medical services, a large number of patients are unable to afford high-cost endoscopic treatment. There are excellent services and medical facilities, to expand the civil hospital, see how more land can be acquired, I will provide funds to improve the old building of the civil hospital.

Later, while talking to the media, the Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah said that the Sindh government created the Sindh Institute of Endoscopy under public-private partnership. This institute also has international level medical facilities. It was the first civil hospital in 2006. The ward was started and today it has become an institute, these facilities will be provided in other districts of Sindh province.

He said that despite the unstable political situation of the country, we are also doing other things, the law and order situation is better now, the civil and military institutions were attacked by terrorists, a year ago today, the Prime Minister Removed by trust, legally if someone is locked up in jail it is not tolerated, amazingly the Supreme Court is also divided, we never thought this would happen.

The Chief Minister said that all institutions including the government of Sindh are on the same page, I hope that the judiciary will also give us justice. He said that some miscreants set fire to Jinnah House, MM Alam’s plane was burnt, the Supreme Court and the High Court say that whoever commits a crime but does not arrest them, there will be a peaceful protest today. They are detained while other involved persons will also be arrested, they are allowed to protest peacefully, no one will be allowed to protest violently, all the courts including the Supreme Court should provide protection to the country.
