Maryland: Although many benefits of different breathing methods have been scientifically proven, a study has now revealed that simple and easy exercises can help ward off diseases like Alzheimer’s and dementia.
According to research published in Scientific Reports from the USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology, simple breathing exercises can prevent or slow the progression of Alzheimer’s in the body in young and old people. Research has shown that breathing exercises change the amount of ‘amiloid’ protein in the body.
Breathing exercises surprisingly inhibit the formation of amyloid and other harmful tau proteins and thus may help protect the brain from these diseases. Although this is a small study with a total of 108 people studied. Experts have said that in the next phase they will try to involve as many people as possible.
Another important task is to try to understand the whole process of why breathing exercises reduce these two harmful proteins. But there are clearly benefits to breathing. On the other hand, yoga and other breathing exercises also calm the mind and reduce stress.
