The Pakistani remake of the 1972 blockbuster film ‘Pakeeza’ has been confirmed.
Actress Meeraji recently revealed in an interview to a private TV that she will be seen playing the lead role of Meena Kumari in the sequel of ‘Pakeezah’.
He also said that the shooting of this film will be started in March this year.
Earlier, it was reported that actress Mahira Khan will play the lead role in the remake of the said blockbuster while the names of many famous artists are also being considered.
It should be noted that the film Pakeeza was one of the most expensive films of the 70s, which took 14 years to make and at that time the cost of the film was Rs 1 crore 25 lakh.
A month after the blockbuster film, Meena Kumari, the lead actress of the film, passed away, which made the film even more famous.
