Gaza: After 5 days of fighting between Israel and the Islamic Jihad organization, the leader of the Palestinian freedom struggle, a ceasefire was agreed upon.
According to the World News Agency, Egypt has announced that a ceasefire has been reached between Islamic Jihad and Israel, under which the parties will refrain from targeting civilians, demolishing houses and incitement.
Dawood Shahab, spokesman of Islamic Jihad, confirmed the ceasefire agreement and said that we recognize the ceasefire agreement brokered by Egypt and as long as occupying Israel abides by this agreement, we will not abandon the agreement. .

Israel’s National Security Adviser thanked President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi for Egypt’s efforts, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement that silence will be met with silence and that if Israel is attacked or threatened, So they will take every measure to defend themselves.
While welcoming the ceasefire, the White House press secretary praised Egypt’s peace efforts and thanked the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, for playing an important role.
Along with Egypt, Qatar also played an important role in the ceasefire agreement between the Israeli army and Islamic Jihad. The recent clash between Islamic Jihad and the Israeli army was the biggest since the 10-day war in 2021.

More than 30 Palestinians, including 6 commanders of Iran-backed Islamic Jihad, were martyred in the recent clash, while 3 Israelis, including a woman, were killed in rocket attacks from Gaza.
After the declaration of ceasefire, the people breathed a sigh of relief. Citizens came out of their houses in joy, the streets were full of celebration. Ceasefire is being hailed as a success of Islamic Jihad. A large number of people gathered at the house of those who were martyred in the clash.
Addressing the public gathering, the leaders of the Islamic Jihad reiterated their commitment to the Palestinian liberation struggle and shouted slogans against Israel.
