Islamabad: The first flight of Hajj pilgrims will depart from Karachi and Islamabad for Saudi Arabia on May 21, while the first team of assistants will depart from May 17.

While giving a press conference on Hajj arrangements, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Senator Talha Mehmood, said that some facilities related to Hajj arrangements were delayed, last year’s Hajj was an easy Hajj because 80 thousand people performed Hajj, but this year only two hundred thousand people performed Hajj. Haji will go from Pakistan.

He said that difficulties will be faced in this year’s Hajj, so be prepared for a tough Hajj, but they are trying to reduce the difficulties.

The federal minister said that if there is any shortcoming in the Hajj arrangements, it should be pointed out. Some pilgrims complained to me in the Haji camp that we do not have money for sacrifice. We are reducing the Hajj expenses and we are making the pilgrims sacrifice under the official Hajj scheme, now the government will pay the amount of 720 riyals to the pilgrims.

He said that in 2019, the buildings in Makkah are being taken for 2600 Rials and this year for 2100 Rials, while the last year’s travel fare of 1000 dollars is 900 dollars this year. The work of taking the buildings should have been done in Ramadan, but now we have booked.

Senator Talha Mehmood said that under Road to Makkah, immigration will be done only at Islamabad Airport and under Road to Makkah, immigration of 26 thousand pilgrims will take place from Islamabad Airport.

The Federal Minister of Religious Affairs said that every Hajj will go to Hajj with training, otherwise their schedule will be rearranged and every Hajj will get free SIM in Saudi Arabia.
