Peshawar: While the attack on Radio Pakistan by miscreants caused extensive damage to the national heritage, the nests of sparrows made by picking straws in the windows of the old building were also destroyed.

In the tragic accident, the young birds that were unable to fly in the cages were also exposed to the flames, the pigeons’ nests on the outer windows of the first and third floors of the building and outside the auditorium hall were also destroyed, where the pigeons now live in the burnt building for some time. They come and fly away.

Eyewitnesses of the incident, the employees of Radio Pakistan told Express that the message of peace, love, brotherhood, education and skill was always sent from this building, but seeing the burnt birds along with the loss of the building, the heart cried tears of blood.

According to radio employees, the building of Radio Pakistan Peshawar was a quiet and peaceful place, there were about fifty windows outside the six-storey building where birds had settled their homes for a long time, but the fire destroyed everything.

Senior Producer Ikramullah Marwat, who has spent more than ten years in Radio Pakistan, said that Radio Pakistan was truly an academy from Peshawar where famous artists, top singers and journalists who have made Pakistan famous in most countries of the world were trained. Shahid, it took many months to get over this tragic incident.

Tufail, senior producer of Radio Pakistan, said that Radio Pakistan used to organize special transmissions on important days including Independence Day, Eid-ul-Fitr, 23rd March, 6th September to convey the message of national unity and peace to the world.
