Islamabad / Karachi: The quintessential summer fruit, watermelon is now widely available. If there is no complaint of diabetes, then definitely eat it and get a wealth of ingredients full of medical benefits.
According to a report published in the research journal, Nutrients, eating watermelon fulfills the nutritional requirements to a large extent. In this context, the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey has been continued from 2003 to 2018. It was found that people who ate large amounts of watermelon had good amounts of vitamin A, vitamin C, fiber, potassium and magnesium in their bodies.
Therefore, it is important to eat 100 grams of watermelon every day. The lysopine present in it is a powerful antioxidant that can be beneficial for the heart. From 100 grams of watermelon, our body gets 9 to 13 mg of lysopene. Interestingly, these amounts are 40% more than tomato.
Another important ingredient in watermelon is sterol, which helps keep veins open by making them more flexible.
