Bengaluru: In the elections of the Indian state of Karnataka, the Congress defeated the extremist ruling party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
According to the data of Election Commission of India, according to the counting of votes done so far, the Congress party has won 130 seats in Karnataka or it has an advantage. While JDS party has won 22 seats.
The state assembly of Karnataka consists of 224 members and any party must win 113 seats for the Chief Minister. After winning 130 seats, now the Chief Minister of Karnataka will be of Congress and Congress will form the state government without any coalition party. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said in a statement after the election victory in Karnataka that the market of hatred has closed and the shop of love has opened. This is the victory of the people of Karnataka.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the BJP’s election rallies in Karnataka and as usual tried to win votes by speaking against Pakistan in his speeches, in which he had to eat his mouth.
