Crises in various countries from Kur to the Pacific Islands also led to an increase in the number of IDPs.

According to the report of international organizations, 17 million people were displaced from their homes as a result of the Russia-Ukraine war in 2022, while the worst floods in Pakistan displaced 8 million people.

Similarly, 1.65 million people were displaced in the sub-Saharan Africa region. Half of them were displaced due to the ongoing civil war in the country, particularly in the Republic of Congo.
