Peshawar: Protesters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf attacked the office of the Provincial Election Commission.

Agitated workers of Tehreek-e-Insaf broke the main door of the office on Shami Road in Peshawar and entered, threw out the goods and broke the windows.

They tore all the records of the Election Commission, broke the windows of 7 vehicles parked in the office, while also burnt two motorcycles.

The workers smashed all the computers in the office, the big screen in the conference room.

The police reached the spot and took action against the angry protesters and arrested 10 people.

Normal life in Peshawar affected

Business centers are partially closed in Peshawar due to fears of unrest. Shops are closed on Khyber Bazar, Main GT Road, Ashraf Road and traffic on the highways is very low.

Citizens are facing difficulties due to lack of passenger vehicles.

BRT service in the city is still suspended and local transport is also non-existent. 11 BRT buses were damaged during the protest.

Terrorism case against those involved in the Radio Pakistan attack

Also, 20 people who attacked Radio Pakistan in Peshawar have been identified. According to CCPO, 20 people who attacked were arrested and a case was registered against them in Sharqi police station.

Provisions for terrorism, stone pelting on police, arson, damage to government property have been included in the case.
