Private educational institutes are closed across the country, matric examination is going on in Karachi

Karachi: Today, private educational institutions are closed across the country, while papers have been postponed in many cities, but in Karachi, the matriculation exams are going on as per the schedule.

After the arrest of Chairman PTI Imran Khan from Islamabad yesterday, protests broke out across the country, in view of which private institutions are closed across the country today. All Pakistan Private Schools Federation announced yesterday that private schools will be closed across Pakistan today.

In Pakhtunkhwa, it has also been decided to keep the educational institutions closed till May 13 and in this regard, the exams of class 9 and 10 have also been postponed till Saturday 13 May.

All public and private schools are closed today in the context of protests and clashes between PTI workers and the police in Lahore. Meanwhile, the Rawalpindi Education Board has announced the postponement of the ninth schedule paper. Earlier, the Chairmans Committee of Education Boards decided to postpone today’s scheduled examinations across the province (Punjab).

In the context of the protests yesterday, the British Council also announced the cancellation of the exams on May 10. Apart from this, the study paper of Pakistan organized by the Federal Board today has also been cancelled.

On the other hand, matriculation exams are going on today as per schedule in Karachi, Hyderabad, Nawabshah (Shaheed Benazirabad).

Nimal University administration had called the buses full of students back to the university last night and they have been accommodated in the hostel for safety reasons. It should be noted that the buses of Nimal University students were stuck on the highway for several hours during the protest. The parents have expressed their gratitude to the administration for recalling the vehicles and providing accommodation to the students in the hostel.

Meanwhile, all public and private educational institutions in Okara are closed today. According to EO Education Malik Arshad, the class 9 paper has also been cancelled. DC Zeeshan Hanif has announced that all the colleges and universities of Okara will also remain closed today.

Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University in Quetta is also closed today.

In view of the situation in Karachi, many private educational institutions are closed today. All campuses of Iqra University, Bahria University Karachi campus will remain closed while the slips held today under Ulama University have been postponed, for which new dates will be announced later.

All missionary schools under the Catholic Board in Karachi including St. Patrick’s, St. Paul’s, St. Lawrence, St. John, St. Joseph’s Convent, St. Michael’s Convent and others are also closed today. Apart from this, Dawood Public, Beacon House, VLC, Seeds, Dar Arqam, The Academy and other schools have also been closed today due to the situation.

The examinations under the matriculation board in Karachi are going on as usual. According to the director of examinations, Habibullah Sahag, the biology paper of class 9 is being taken, while the English paper will be taken in the afternoon shift as per the schedule.
