Islamabad: Tehreek-e-Insaf Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi and General Secretary Asad Umar were arrested by the police.
PTI General Secretary and former Federal Finance Minister Asad Umar was arrested by the police from the gate near the Islamabad High Court Writ Branch while Shah Mahmood Qureshi was also arrested by the police from Islamabad.
PTI lawyer Faisal Chaudhry Advocate has said that Asad Umar has been arrested from the premises of the High Court. He said that Asad Umar was arrested from the small gate of the High Court and in which case he was arrested, nothing is known yet.
It should be noted that this morning the former Governor of Punjab Umar Sarfraz Cheema was also arrested by anti-corruption from Lahore. He was arrested from his house by the Additional Director Anti-Corruption along with a team. The former governor of Punjab has been arrested on charges of abuse of power during his tenure.
Meanwhile, PTI leader Dr. Yasmin Rashid has condemned the arrest of the party’s central general secretary Asad Umar and said that the imported fascist government has crossed all limits to take revenge against Tehreek-e-Insaf. All the negative tactics of the government are to run away from the election. The imported fascist government should be aware.
