Russia also issued a statement on the arrest of former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
In a statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry, it said that it is looking into the matter of Imran Khan’s arrest, insisting on resolving the matter peacefully.
Russia said that it is hoped that the protest in Pakistan will not take a serious situation, it is hoped that the situation in Pakistan will return to normal soon.
European Union also reacted to Imran Khan’s arrest yesterday. The European Union foreign affairs spokesperson said that the European Union emphasizes that patience is needed in such a difficult and tense time, only Pakistanis can deal with the challenges facing Pakistan.
The EU said the challenges could be tackled through sincere dialogue and the rule of law.
British Prime Minister Rishi Sonak has also given a statement on the arrest of Chairman PTI. Rishi Sonik called the arrest an internal matter of Pakistan and said that Britain is monitoring the situation in Pakistan.
