Army has been called to control the law and order situation in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

This decision has been taken due to deterioration of law and order situation.

Lahore: The Pakistan Army was called to improve the law and order situation in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while the Army took over the responsibilities in Rawalpindi.

The Punjab Home Department has given approval to call the army. The law and order situation will be controlled in important districts of the province including Lahore. The Army will assist the Police and Rangers in this regard.

Punjab has sent a summary to the federation according to which ten companies of the army will be called up. This decision has been taken due to the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab.

Meanwhile, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has also summoned the army under Article 246 due to the tense situation. The provincial government wrote a written letter. The provincial home department wrote a letter to the federal interior secretary for the deployment of the army. Pakistan Army companies will continue to be deployed in tense areas.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cabinet approved the hiring of the army for peace and order in the province and confirmed the decision of the Interior Department. The requisition was made by the Home Department under Article 245 to maintain law and order in the province.

Meanwhile, the army will be deployed in Rawalpindi, Rawalpindi army troops are patrolling the main highways, Rawalpindi initially army troops are patrolling the cantt areas.
