Islamabad: The government has changed the interest rates of national savings schemes.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the average return on special savings certificates has been increased to 17.40 percent, the rate of return on savings accounts has been increased from 18.5 percent to 19.50 percent.
According to the declaration, the profit of one-year short-term savings certificates has been increased from 19.82 to 20.80 percent, while the profit of six-month short-term savings certificates has been increased to 20.82 percent.
Similarly, the yield of three-month short-term certificates has been increased from 19.92 to 20.84 percent, while the yield of Defense Savings Certificates has remained at 14.87 percent.
The yield of Pensioners, Welfare and Martyr Families Certificates remained at 16.56 percent while the yield of Regular Income Certificates remained at 12.84 percent.
