Lahore: The court rejected the request for restoration of the Punjab Assembly and imposed a fine on the petitioner.
Justice Shahid Karim of Lahore High Court heard the petition for restoration of provincial assembly filed by citizen Sharaf Ali. The court inquired who is the applicant and what is his relationship? On which the lawyer said that the petitioner is a political worker in Faisalabad.

It should be noted that the position was taken in the petition on behalf of the citizen that the former Chief Minister of Punjab Pervez Elahi illegally sent the summary of dissolution of the Punjab Assembly. The people of Punjab are deprived of representation of their mandate. The move to dissolve the Punjab Assembly is unconstitutional and illegal.
In the petition filed in the Lahore High Court, the citizen requested that the summary of the suspension of the Punjab Assembly be annulled.
The court rejected the application and imposed a fine of one lakh rupees on the citizen.
