The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued an amended SRO on temporary importation of vehicles.
According to the FBR notification, the definition of ‘tourist’ has been updated under the new rules.
Pakistan Customs will monitor information related to temporary importation of vehicles through a computerized system.
According to the FBR statement, the Customs authorities will be in close contact with the FIA in this regard.
Passports of tourists temporarily importing vehicles will be attached to the car documents.
According to the FBR statement, this step has been taken to prevent misuse of temporary importation of vehicles.
