Peshawar: The Election Commission has submitted the response related to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa elections in Peshawar High Court.
According to the sources, the Election Commission has said that the Election Commission cannot give the date of the elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Election Commission is bound to conduct the elections and it is not the authority of the Election Commission to determine the date.
Election Commission sources say that Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ghulam Ali has given the date of October 8, the Election Commission has issued a notification in the light of the date given by the Governor.
It should be noted that the Peshawar High Court had sought a response from the Election Commission on PTI’s application regarding the elections.
