The Prince of Wales was moved to pay tribute to his father, King Charles III, at the coronation ceremony.
King Charles’ eyes lit up during the coronation ceremony when Prince William joined him for the ceremony.
Prince William came to his father after the coronation and knelt before him and said: ‘William, Prince of Wales, I pledge to you my loyalty, faith and truth, I will obey you in your life. I will support you as a bearer, so may God help me in this task’.
Prince William then leaned down and kissed King Charles on the cheek, a historic moment that left the King emotional.
Prince Harry, who has stepped down from royal duties, smiled and greeted everyone in the church before taking his seat upon his family’s arrival at the church.
Breaking with royal family tradition, when the Prince of Wales paid his respects to King Charles during the coronation, his younger brother Prince Harry watched the historic moment from the third row of the church.
