Pyongyang: North Korea has warned that US military exercises are pushing the situation to the extreme of the red line.
In a statement issued by the spokesperson of the North Korean Foreign Ministry, it is said that the joint war exercises with the US allies are the end of the red line, which could turn the Korean Peninsula into a serious war zone.
The spokesman further said that the political and military situation of the Korean Peninsula has reached the peak of tension and the red line. Negotiations are not possible as long as the aggressive and hostile actions of America continue. North Korea will respond strongly to any US military action, including the use of nuclear power.
Top US and South Korean military officials last week decided to further expand military exercises and deploy new warships and bombers to the region.
