After 29 years, the reason for the box office failure of the comedy film ‘Andaz Apna Apna’, the early career of India’s famous stars Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, has come to light.
According to the report of the Indian media, the film maker Rajkumar Santoshi dropped the debris of the film’s failure at the box office on Salman Khan and Aamir Khan in veiled words.
Released in 1994, this comedy family drama film Anaz Apna Apna starred Salman Khan and Aamir Khan as well as big stars like Raveena Tandon, Karisma Kapoor, Paresh Rawal and Shakti Kapoor.
The film was not well received at the time of its release, but after some time, the film helped to promote comedy films in Hindi cinema.
During an interview with Bharti News Channel, filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi said about the film that was released 29 years ago that Anthaz Apna Apna was a completely different story, it had more of comedy and adventure than romance.
He said that it was a unique film, I don’t remember seeing any film like this before. It took time for people to understand this film.
Rajkumar Santoshi also said that at that time film distributors were new, they could not promote it as much as they should have.
He also said that Salman Khan and Aamir Khan did not have any activities related to this film, rather both the stars were not present in Mumbai at the time of the film’s release.
Rejecting the idea of making a remake of the film, he said that he has no such intention regarding the film, but the film still looks as fresh today as it did 29 years ago.
The renowned filmmaker warned that anyone who tries to remake this evergreen film will sink as it is not possible to make such a film.
