Karachi: The Sindh High Court ordered the IG Sindh to review the cases of missing persons on the petitions related to the recovery of 14 missing persons including citizen Arsalanuddin.
In front of a two-member bench headed by Justice Nimatullah Phalphoto, the petitions related to the recovery of 14 missing persons, including citizen Arslanuddin, were heard.
The lawyers of the petitioners submitted that the citizens are missing from Pakistan Bazar, New Karachi, Aziz Bhatti, Bahadurabad and other areas. The court rejected the police reports.
Justice Nimatullah Phalphotu expressed his indignation at the investigating officers and remarked that many cases have been going on for ten years, even the missing persons could not be traced.
The court will have to take strict action against the police officials. The case of missing persons should be entrusted to investigating officers of good repute.
The court ordered the recovery of Pathan Khan Zahrani, Irfan Ali, Syed Saeem Ali, Hussain, Javed Iqbal, Abdul Qadeer, Mohammad Amir, Azam Usmani, Zohaib Ali and others while seeking a report from Secretary Interior and Secretary Defense.
