Srinagar: In Occupied Kashmir, 5 personnel, including an Indian Army officer, were killed and 1 injured in a powerful explosion during a search operation.
According to Indian media, the Indian Army reached a raid team on the information that the militants who targeted the Indian soldiers had taken shelter in a cave in the Rajouri district of Occupied Kashmir.
On seeing the Indian soldiers, the militants hurled explosives at the personnel due to which the raiding team was scattered and 2 personnel were killed on the spot while 4 were seriously injured.

The four injured personnel were shifted to Command Hospital, Udhampur, where three personnel succumbed to their injuries during treatment. In this way, the number of Indian soldiers killed has increased to 5.
The identities of the dead and injured have not been revealed.
The spokesperson of the Indian Army said that the terrorists who had taken refuge in this cave had escaped with military weapons after attacking an army truck in Poonch district on April 20 and killing 5 personnel.
