US Secretary of State Anthony Blanken has arrived on a visit to Israel and Palestine, where he met with the country’s leadership and discussed the end of tensions in the region.

According to the World News Agency, tensions have increased in the West Bank in recent days. Last month in January, 35 Palestinian youths were martyred in the aggression of the Israeli army, while around 10 Israelis were also killed.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blanken first arrived in Israel and met with Prime Minister Netanyahu due to the escalation of violence and tension in the region. The two leaders agreed to end the tension in the region.

In the meeting, US Secretary of State Anthony Blanken called on the parties to remain calm and urged Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu on the two-state solution.

Later, US Secretary of State Anthony Blanken arrived in Palestine from Israel and met with President Mahmoud Abbas. In the meeting, the two leaders agreed on a two-state solution to the Palestinian issue.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said he strongly condemned Israel for the expansion of Jewish settlements, the legalization of checkpoints, the demolition and eviction of Palestinian homes, the obstruction of the historic status of holy sites and the incitement to violence. .

On the other hand, US Secretary of State Anthony Blanken expressed deep concern over the tension in Israel and the West Bank and said that a two-state solution should be considered for sustainable peace in the region.

Saudi Arabia has expressed satisfaction over the US Secretary of State’s declaration of the two-state solution as the key to peace.

It should be noted that the position of Saudi Arabia is the same that stability in the Middle East is not possible without recognizing Israel and Palestine as two separate and independent states.
