In view of the fear of a major terrorist attack in Peshawar, the administration has issued an alert.
According to Express News, SSP Intelligence and Surveillance Counter-Terrorism has written a letter to IG Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in which it has been stated that there is a fear of attack by terrorists in police uniforms in Peshawar, to make the police a target. Terrorists have also bought 80-90 police uniforms.
In this regard, CTD has issued a threat alert regarding a possible attack, in which measures have been directed to tighten security.
Section 144 is enforced regarding movement in important places
Meanwhile, due to the fear of attack, Section 144 has been imposed regarding movement in important places and a declaration has been issued. According to the district administration, Section 144 will be enforced around important places and on the roads leading to them, CM House, Governor House, Police Lines, Central Police Office Peshawar Jail will be strictly monitored on these places for 60 days. Section 144 will remain in force.
