United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres says that the international community is concerned about Afghanistan’s stability, terrorism, drug trafficking and the lack of inclusion of Afghan women in the mainstream of society.
On the occasion of the two-day meeting of the United Nations on the situation in Afghanistan in Doha, the capital of Qatar, Antonio Gutierrez said that the situation in Afghanistan is the biggest humanitarian crisis in the world today.
He said that stability of Afghanistan, terrorism in Afghanistan, drug trafficking and lack of participation of Afghan women in social affairs are a cause of concern for the international community.
Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that keeping women out of the system in Afghanistan is a serious violation of human rights and the United Nations Charter.
He further said that the meeting with the Taliban will be at the right time, that right time has not come yet, there was no discussion about recognizing the Taliban government with the international representatives in the Doha meeting.
