The spokesman of the Afghan Taliban, Sohail Shaheen, has said that any meeting is ineffective without the representatives of the Afghan government.
He termed non-invitation of Afghan representatives in the meeting as unjustified and discriminatory.
Sohail Shaheen says that Emirate of Islamia is the main party, any meeting without its representatives is ineffective and can sometimes be counterproductive.
He said that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has a legal right to be given an opportunity to clarify its position in such meetings.
He further said that how the decisions taken in such a meeting can be accepted or enforced when they are not part of the process.
