Manila: Dozens of flights were canceled due to power outages at the Philippines’ largest airport. Power supply has not yet been restored.
A statement issued by the management of Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport said that the power supply to Terminal 3 was suddenly suspended on Monday night, forcing the cancellation of 40 domestic flights.
Manila Electric Co., which supplies power to the airport, said in a statement that the power outage was being investigated.
Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has issued orders to the relevant authorities to resume air operations at the airport’s Terminal 3 as soon as possible.
