Divorce rates are lower in arranged marriages, Jemima Khan


Jemima Khan, while giving an interview to foreign media, confirmed that she has finished her film ‘What’s God To Do With It? The story was inspired by the story of love and marriage with former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan.

While giving an interview to an American news organization, he said that it took him almost ten years to write this film, the story of this film is inspired by his and Imran Khan’s love and marriage.

He said that each character, each line, each joke of this film is closer to the reality of the time spent in Pakistan. I wrote it myself without any help.

He said that he has his own production house where documentaries are made for TV but took some time off from that to work on the story of this film.

In response to a question, she said that when she moved to Lahore, Pakistan after marrying Imran Khan, she had to live in a joint family with Imran Khan’s family. While all the people around had an arranged marriage.

He said that at that time he got an opportunity to know how arranged marriages are, then how children are raised and when those children grow up, they prefer arranged marriages for themselves.

He said, “I had an interesting experience when two people don’t start their life with love but it ends with love. They don’t fall blindly in love but love each other after getting to know each other.” Due to which the rate of divorce in arrange marriage is also low.

He said that some scenes of the film were shot in Pakistan, in which he was assisted by documentary filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy.

He also thanked world famous singer Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and said that at the time the film was being shot in Pakistan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan had come to London for a program but somehow he managed And he himself came to Pakistan from London to shoot a wedding scene.
