Turkish intelligence forces killed ISIS leader Abu al-Hussein al-Quraishi while operating in Syria.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, speaking to the media, said that his intelligence forces have killed the head of ISIS during an operation in Syria.
He further said that the operation against the leader of Daesh was carried out in Jandares region of Syria.
The Turkish President said that the National Intelligence Organization of Turkey had been pursuing the head of Daesh, Abul Hussein al-Husseini al-Quraishi, for a long time.
Foreign media reported, citing local and security sources in Syria, that the operation took place in the northern Syrian town of Jandares, an area controlled by the Turkish-backed rebel group.
According to the news agencies, a resident of Jandaris said that there were heavy clashes in the area on Saturday and Sunday night and the sound of explosion was heard.
According to news agencies, the Syrian National Army has not yet issued any statement on the news of the death of the head of ISIS.
It should be noted that in November 2022, after the death of the leader of ISIS, Abul Hassan Al-Hashemi Al-Quraishi, Abul Hussain Al-Husseini Al-Quraishi was made the new head of the terrorist organization.
