New Delhi: In India, 9 students of 11th and 12th class committed suicide after failing the exam.

According to Indian media, the Board of Intermediate of the state of Andhra Pradesh announced the results of the 11th and 12th class exams, after which 9 failed students committed suicide 48 hours later.

1 million students of class 11th and 12th appeared for the exam. The pass rate of students in class 11 was 61 percent while the results of class 12 were 72 percent. According to the report, most of the students who committed suicide were studying in reputed educational institutions of their areas.

The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India has expressed concern over the suicide of students and said that the suicide of students is sad and it should be seen why it is happening.
