Cambridge: First-of-its-kind research has shown that when information is delivered at the natural pace of brain waves and electrical activity, it can speed up and improve our ability to learn and acquire.

In this regard, the Department of Psychology of the University of Cambridge has conducted research on some participants. Experts first noted the frequency of the participants’ brainwaves and asked them to watch a scene for one and a half seconds at the same frequency, after which their learning ability tripled.

When these participants were tested again the next day, the ability was still present in the adults who had improved acquisition. It has been shown that by normalizing the natural fluctuations of brain waves, the speed of learning in people can be accelerated and learning difficulties can also be overcome.

Most importantly, experts have noted this process for the first time and termed it brain tuning at the individual level. However, even scientists themselves are surprised by its dramatic positive effects.

Cambridge experts believe that this can accelerate lifelong learning by increasing brain flexibility. Explaining this, it was said that the brain waves or patterns that are formed when we learn from each of us can be detected by EEG. These natural rhythms are generated by the activity of neurons. We have simulated its Zerobom with great results.

The research was published in the Journal of Cerebral Cortex. The study involved 80 people whose brain waves were recorded by wearing caps with EEG sensors on their scalps. These included alpha readings that ranged from 8 to 12 Hz, but this could vary from person to person.

Now each person was subjected to electrical or visual activity for one and a half seconds so that the brain returns to its original frequency. This process is called ‘entrainment’ in medical language. Each individual was then put through a different learning test.

Compared to others, these people had an extraordinary learning ability that was at least three times faster.

Experts have described this process as very important for rapid acquisition.
