Anti-corruption raid to arrest Parvez Elahi, officials entered the house

Lahore: The police and anti-corruption raided to arrest the central president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Chief Minister of Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and when the door did not open, the officials entered the house by jumping over the wall.

According to Express News, anti-corruption team with the assistance of Lahore Police reached his residence on Zahoorullah Road to arrest Parvez Elahi. More than 8 police vehicles and anti-rights force personnel were also present outside Parvez Elahi’s residence.

The police had sealed the surrounding areas and stopped the movement of citizens.

When the team accompanied by the anti-corruption team started the arrest process, the police took positions to prevent any untoward incident and the possible advance of the PTI workers while pressured the police with water and mud from their residence. Oil was also spilled.

The anti-corruption team said that Parvez Elahi came to arrest the case registered in Gujranwala on 23/6.

Nader Dogal Advocate said that the case is registered in Anti-Corruption Gujranwala, while the court has already granted protective bail to Parvez Elahi till May 6 in the case.

The legal team told the anti-corruption authorities that Pervez Elahi has been granted bail on the order of Judge Tariq Saleem Sheikh. On this, the police sought a bail order.
