Islamabad: Punjab Police cleared 51,000 hectares of land by killing three dacoits during an operation in Kacha area.
IG Punjab gave a briefing to caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi on the ongoing operation in Kacha area and said that several hideouts of miscreants have been destroyed while 46 miscreants including 8 injured have been arrested.
He said that the operation to clear the other areas has been quick, the latest has reached the cheap raw area, the most dangerous gang has been cordoned off and the area has been completely cordoned off. I further informed that police posts have been set up in the cleared area.
On the other hand, Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed his satisfaction over the police performance in the operation in the Kacha area and paid tribute to the officials and officers. He directed that lasting peace should be established by eradicating the evildoers and to prepare and submit a plan for the restoration of roads, repair of bridges in the area so that development works can start.
