Karachi: The Meteorological Department says that there is a possibility of rain with thunder in the city on Friday, during the rain, stronger than usual winds and gales may also prevail, the rain may continue till May 1.
According to the Department of Meteorology, the weather was clear in the city for most of the afternoon. As a result of the effects of the system, it rained in Panno Aqil and Ghotki districts of rural Sindh, but the information remained only partly cloudy in the suburbs of the city. was predicted.
The Meteorological Department says that the rains may continue on Saturday, during which the maximum mercury in the city may be recorded between 32 and 34 degrees, with wind and thundershowers in various districts of rural Sindh from tomorrow to May 1. There is a possibility of rain, some districts of rural Sindh may experience hailstorm and heavy rain, strong winds may damage vulnerable properties in rural Sindh.
According to Chief Meteorologist Karachi Sardar Sarfraz, another western system is expected after the recent system, but its effects are not visible in Karachi at the moment. Both these systems are supported by moisture from the Arabian Sea.
Meteorologist Jawad Memon says that the western wind system in Karachi may cause rains from April 28 to May 4, light to moderate rain may occur in most parts of the city, while spells of 2 to 3 heavy rains are also expected in some places. During the system, 30 to 50 mm of rain may occur in Karachi, if strong clouds form with thunder and lightning, the possibility cannot be ruled out that apart from wind, hail may also occur in some areas of Karachi. There is no possibility of any unusual and extreme weather conditions and urban flooding.
