In America, the use of social media by the youth is becoming a headache for the parents as well as the government, against which efforts have been started.
According to foreign media, two major US states, Utah and Arkansas, have set a limit on the use of social media by people under the age of 18, which will be implemented immediately.
From 10:30 pm to 6:30 am, youth below the age of 18 years will be banned from using social media, but apart from these hours, they will be able to use the platforms.
These individuals or young people will have to get parental permission first to create an account on any social media platform, while parents will be able to give access to the account to their children as they wish.
The measures taken in Utah and Arkansas are aimed at protecting the younger generation from problems like social media addiction and abuse.
The aforementioned measures are also being criticized by people who say that these regulations will violate user privacy.
