Lahore: Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan was awarded the ‘Tamagah Hussaan Fahsi’ by the Government of Turkey in recognition of its valuable services in the earthquake-prone areas of Turkey.

Ikramul Haq Sobhani, the team leader of the 47-member rescue and search operation of Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan, received the ‘Hossan Performance Medal’ from the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in a ceremony held at the Presidential Palace of Turkey (Ankara).

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, giving the Hussain medal to the team leader of Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan, said that the volunteers of Al-Khidmat Foundation won the hearts of the Turkish people by providing services in the earthquake-affected areas. The Turkish government and people are grateful to Awam-ul-Khidmat Foundation and Pakistani brothers and sisters who supported them in this difficult time.

On this occasion, Ikram-ul-Haq Subhani thanked Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the Turkish government and the people and said that there is an eternal bond of love between Pakistan and Turkey. They are ready to help each other.

President of Al Khidmat Foundation Pakistan Dr. Hafeezur Rehman congratulated the volunteers of Al Khidmat Rescue and Search Operation Team for receiving the ‘Tamagah Hussain Fahsi’ from the Government of Turkey and said that Al Khidmat Foundation Pakistan on behalf of the Government of Turkey. Being awarded the ‘Tamagah Hussaan’ is a source of pride for the entire nation.
It should be noted that after the situation after the earthquake in Turkey and Syria on February 6, Al-Khidmat Foundation provided “loans” for relief activities. Fard Bhi” campaign was launched.

At the request of Disaster and Emergency Management (AFAD) of the Ministry of Interior, a 47-member search and rescue team of Al-Khidmat volunteers was also dispatched to the earthquake-affected areas of Turkey, which AFAD named Pak 10. The team was equipped with advanced equipment to search for people in the wreckage.

Al-Khidmat Foundation volunteers participated in search and rescue operations in the earthquake-affected areas for 10 days and worked together with rescue and search teams from around the world to retrieve the injured and dead bodies from the rubble. Apart from this, fresh food, tents, blankets, clothes, hygiene kits and tarpaulin were also delivered to the earthquake affected areas by Al Khidmat Foundation.
