KARACHI: After Noor Jahan’s death, the administration is worried about the remaining three elephants

Karachi: After the death of the elephant Noor Jahan at the zoo, the management became concerned for the elephants named Madhu Bala, Sonia and Malika.

The Four Paws International team also conducted a medical examination of Sonia and Malika of the Safari Park after Madhu Bala of the zoo and the blood samples were sent to Lahore for laboratory tests.

Animal expert Mathews of Fourpaz said that blood samples of the elephants have been taken today and will be sent for analysis, both the elephants look healthy. Madhu Bala will also be shifted to Safari Park, due to lack of space and traffic noise in Garden Zoo, Madhu Bala is under stress there.

He said that he hopes that the three elephants will live a healthy life after coming to the safari park, apparently the health of the Queen and Sonia is better.

After the test reports are cleared, Madhu Bala Elephant will also be transferred from Karachi Zoo to Safari Park. Administrator Karachi has directed to complete arrangements for transfer of elephant from zoo to safari park in 45 days.

According to officials, a 25-feet high and 38-feet wide enclosure will be constructed of iron and fiber for Madhu Bala under the supervision of four-paw experts. According to the officials, the Madhu Bala elephant will be initially kept separate from the two elephants of the Safari Park.

In consultation with experts, a walk and play area is being built for the three-acre elephants in the Safari Park, where a pond will also be constructed for them.
