Canada: Pakistani-born Canadian controversial writer Tariq Fateh died at the age of 73.
According to foreign media reports, Canadian writer and journalist Tariq Fateh, famous for his anti-Pakistan and anti-Islam statements, died in Toronto on Monday after a long illness.
His daughter Natasha Fateh has confirmed the death of her father Tariq Fateh on Twitter. Tariq Fateh was a controversial figure and was supported by India for taking a tough stand against Pakistan.

Describing the death of Tariq Fateh as a big loss, Indian actor Anupam Kher, controversial actress Kangana Ranaut, including Indian extremist organization RSS, are expressing regret on Twitter.
According to Indian media, Tariq Fateh was a supporter of the BJP-led Modi government in India. He was born in Pakistan in 1949, then settled in Saudi Arabia and Canada in the 1980s.
Tariq Fateh was a political analyst, journalist and TV host in Canada. He also wrote several books that made him famous.
