Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that billions of rupees were given to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for counter-terrorism, they should be accounted for, where did they go?
While giving an important policy statement in the Federal Cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the Peshawar blast is unfortunate. History will not forget the sacrifices of mothers, sisters and sons of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Prime Minister said that 417 billion rupees have been paid to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the form of NFC awards. The share of provinces, federation was one per cent before bifurcation. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was given 417 billion rupees, where did this money go? There was a PTI government for 10 years, God knows where 417 billion rupees went. He said that he is not slandering, since 2010, money has been given to combat terrorism.
While giving the policy statement, the Prime Minister further said that we had the resources so we established the CTD. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is a frontline state against terrorism. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa received billions of rupees which no other province received. PTI ruled Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for 10 years and then said that there were no resources. The money given to the province was supposed to be used to improve the police and security forces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said that the main objective is to tell the facts to the House. Terrorists were hit in 2 operations. As a result of terrorism, Benazir Bhutto was martyred and this scourge of terrorism is raising its head again. Created Necta and CTD. Work has been done in the province, still it is not appropriate to complain. He said that dust in my mouth, there will be no one to take our name in history.
The Prime Minister said that the question today is who brought the terrorists again? In the past, Pakhtunkhwa was again left at the mercy of terrorists. How KP again went into the hands of terrorists? Who said that these cogs have surrendered, they will contribute to the development of the country. This is the hidden question that the nation is asking today.
The prime minister said that every eye from Karachi to Khyber is in tears over the incident of terrorism. If we do not take appropriate measures, terrorism will spread in Pakistan.
