Karachi: Dewar killed his sister-in-law in the name of honor in Baldia Etihad Town area of Shahr Quaid.
According to Express News, a woman died in the firing incident inside the Gulshan Ghazi house of Baldia Ittihad Town, whose body was shifted to Civil Hospital for post-mortem.
SHO Etihad Town Ghulam Rasool Arbab said that the incident of shooting happened in the name of honor in which Hamidullah, the brother-in-law of the victim, killed his sister-in-law Rozeena, 32 years old, by shooting her on the head and fled the scene while the police went to the scene. 3 shells of 30 bore pistol have been recovered from the incident.
He further said that the initial investigation has revealed that the victim had left the house while the husband of the victim is imprisoned in the Mianwali Jail in a drug recovery case, however, the police are conducting raids in search of the absconding accused while further investigating the incident.
Meanwhile, 40-year-old Imam Ali was injured due to firing during a dispute in Khoi Goth area of Shah Latif Town and was taken to Jinnah Hospital by Edhi Ambulance.
