Laughter: A car of people who had gone to Kenjhar Lake for entertainment from Karachi met with a terrible collision on their way back, as a result of which 9 people died.
According to Express News, a high-speed Suzuki car rammed into a truck standing on the road at Chilia on the national highway in Thatta, killing the occupants of the high roof while the vehicle was completely destroyed.
The in-charge of Mukli Civil Hospital MS Dr. Safdar said that the bodies of four people have been shifted to Mukli Civil Hospital.
Rescue sources said that the unlucky passengers in the vehicle belonged to Karachi who had come to Kenchar Lake for entertainment. Near the toll plaza, when the truck braked, the high-speed Suzuki high-roof truck collided with the truck and was completely destroyed.
Rescue operations are going on at the accident site, volunteers are also facing difficulties due to darkness.
On the other hand, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah expressed deep sorrow over the loss of human lives in the road accident near Thatta and directed the district administration and police to immediately shift the injured to the hospital.
The chief minister directed the administration to provide full assistance to the affected families and also ordered to impose emergency in Thatta Hospital.
