New Delhi: Indian women wrestlers have demanded the arrest of the President of Wrestling Federation and BJP leader Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh against sexual harassment.
According to international media reports, Indian wrestling women players are protesting against Wrestling Federation Chief and Member of Parliament Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in New Delhi.
Renowned Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat has said that he knows at least 10 to 20 girls who have mentioned being sexually harassed by Brij Bhushan at a wrestling camp.
In protest, women wrestlers have demanded the immediate arrest of Brij Bhushan. The players have also appealed to the country’s top court to file a report against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI).
It should be noted that the wrestlers staged a dharna in January demanding legal action against Singh and other coaches, but Brij Bhushan Singh has denied all the allegations.
