Lahore: Muslim League (Q) chief Chaudhry Shujaat and Jamaat-e-Islami chief Siraj-ul-Haq have insisted on elections on the same day in the country.
During the telephonic conversation, the two leaders discussed the current political situation. Siraj-ul-Haq said that holding elections in the whole country on the same day with consensus is the solution to the problem, elections in one province without consensus will increase the problems.
He said that consultation with other political parties regarding the dialogue is going on. On which Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that the role of Jamaat-e-Islami is important regarding the dialogue of political parties.
He said that a better way can be found through communication and discussion. Besides, the two leaders agreed to continue communication.
